Artist statement

What brings me to making is a desire to be part of an idea and to find a form which represents it. It interests me how ideas can be distilled into something so simple. I work across media but primarily with drawings, photographs and sculpture. Themes have evolved from landscape, abstract light and colour to family relationships. I am now enjoying working with photography as part of my recovery after open heart surgery.
