ECC PERFORMANCE ART
Taking part in this virtual exhibition showcasing the final works of participants of 2023 summer "Performance-based Filmmaking: The Nature of the Poetic Image in Motion and its Performativity" with VestAndPage on 29 January, 6 PM CET.
Let us use the camera as a tool for reflection, rather than limiting it to a device that records appearances. Let us use it to shape a moving image that emerges from within and through us, blending with what is out there. Let us use it to show the world as it appears to us. Visions vanish if not captured.
Hive Curates: In Out
In Out opens Fri 26 January. The group show considers the interplay between internal contemplation and external manifestation to explore the dual nature of obscure, overlooked and concealed aspects of the human experience.
Curated by @anneevakristina @justinehounam @jacqueline.rana the show features work from 21 artists
Lulea International Film Festival
Thank you Lulea International Film Festival @jamshed_ahmedkhan for a great festival – I very much enjoyed sharing our films.
Editing ‘A Meditation on Trauma’
Initial editing by printing and ordering stills of all the film footage frames - here I can also identify any obvious footage gaps.
Mother of All: A Celebration of Creative Resilience
It is a true testimony of women coming together and putting together this show despite unforeseen and challenging circumstances the last few weeks, thank you to all co curators – you have truly been amazing and also to 39 contributing artists for such inspiring work.
Mother of All unites artists who have nurtured their creative practices amidst the responsibilities, challenges, and joys of motherhood. The curators at B.O.T.H. set not other requirement except that our featured artists are mothers in any capacity, and that the submitted artworks adhere to the size limit of 50 cm and under. The dimensions limitation serves as a poignant commentary, spotlighting gender inequality that persists even seven decades after the women’s liberation movement of the 1960s.
Curators: Anne Isaksson, Justine Hounam, Jacqueline Rana, Carolyn Whittaker, Carin Thuresson
Filming ‘A Meditation on Trauma’
Filming the staircases at Barts hospital West Wing - applying it as an emotional metaphor for the film’s narrative.
Wing Walking
Wing Walking is a group exhibition featuring the works of nine artists, including founding members of B.O.T.H. The participating artists bring together their unique perspectives to create a diverse and thought-provoking collection. Through various mediums such as painting, sculpture, filmmaking, printmaking, and mixed media, they invite viewers to embark on a visual journey.
